What are Cicadas?

What do Cicadas Eat?

Why are Cicadas so Noisy?

What is the Brood X Cicada?
Brood X is a periodical cicada that emerges every 17 years. The next emergence of Brood X is expected in 2021. This brood is expected to be the largest in history, with billions of cicadas emerging from the ground.
How to Prepare for the Cicadas
If you live in an area where cicadas are expected to emerge, there are a few things you can do to prepare:
- Cover your plants with netting to protect them from damage.
- Keep your windows and doors closed to prevent cicadas from entering your home.
- Be aware of the noise that cicadas make and take steps to reduce it, such as wearing earplugs or playing music.
